Jamie3's New Room

Now that Baby Matthew is on his way, it was time to move Jamie3 to a big boy room so that Matthew could have his crib. The room is not quite finished since the lamp that matches the bedding is back ordered. We also hung letters of Jamie's name over the bed; however, this photo was taken before then. Jamie3's bedding is light blue and chocolate brown so we will see how long it takes to get dirty. I didn't think about that when I made the purchase!

Here is the bookshelf that matches his full-size bed. There is plenty of room for all of his books (although he only wants to read the same firetruck book every night!). If you look closely, you can see the chocolate brown piggy bank with light blue dots that matches his bedding perfectly - I was excited to find that!Here is Jamie3 getting in his bed for the first time. Although you can't see it in the picture, there is a chocolate brown and light blue matching step stool which he uses to climb into bed. We also bought matching bed rails so he won't fall out during the night.
As expected, Jamie3 was excited about his new bed and wanted to jump on it. We are still working on training him not to jump on the bed. I can hear that song in my head now..."One little monkey jumping on the bed, he fell off and bumped his head."

I love this next photo - Jamie3 smiling for the camera in his new bed. He definitely likes it and now has more freedom to get out when he wants to - not necessarily a good thing when comes into our room at 6 am in the morning!
